Privacy Policy

Stocka ("Stocka", "we", "us", "our") provides cloud software for GST billing, inventory, sales, purchase and rental management, available on our website (stocka.in), the web app (app.stocka.in) and the Stocka mobile apps for Android and iPhone (together, the "Services").

This policy explains what information we collect, why, how we protect it and the choices you have. It is written to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Information you give us

• Account details — your name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text).
• Business profile — store name, business type, GSTIN, PAN, address, logo and invoice settings.
• Business records you enter — products, stock, warehouses, customers and vendors (names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, GSTINs), sales, purchase and rent orders, invoices, payments, ledgers, vouchers and reports.
• Team members — names, emails and roles of staff you invite to your store.
• Images — product, brand or logo images you choose to upload.
• Enquiries and support — details you share through our contact form, enquiry pop-up, support tickets, email or phone.

Information collected automatically

• Log and device data — IP address, date and time of requests, browser or app version and device type, used for security, troubleshooting and fraud prevention.
• Cookies — a session cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Payment information

Subscription payments are processed by our payment partner Razorpay. We receive the payment status, amount and a transaction reference — we never see or store your full card, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials.

The Stocka mobile apps (Android and iPhone) ask for the minimum they need:

The apps do not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, call logs or SMS, and they contain no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Invoices you open are saved temporarily on your device so your PDF viewer can display them.

• To create and secure your account and let you and your team sign in.
• To run the Services — record orders and stock, generate invoices, ledgers and GST/TDS reports.
• To process subscription payments and send invoices and renewal reminders.
• To send service messages such as one-time passwords (OTP), security alerts and important updates.
• To respond to enquiries and support requests.
• To keep the Services safe — detect abuse, prevent fraud and fix problems.
• To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

The records you enter about your own customers, vendors and staff belong to you. For that data, your business decides what is collected and why, and Stocka processes it only on your instructions to provide the Services. We do not use it to market to your customers and we never sell it.

If you use the WhatsApp feature to send invoices or reminders, messages are sent from the WhatsApp account you connect, to the numbers you choose. You are responsible for having your customers' consent to contact them.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run the Services — cloud hosting and storage, email delivery, and Razorpay for payments — under contracts that require them to protect it.
• WhatsApp (Meta), only when you choose to send messages through a connected WhatsApp account.
• Our authorised partners / resellers, if your store was referred by one — they see your store name, plan and renewal status so they can support you, but not your business records.
• Authorities, when required by law, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of Stocka, our users or the public.
• A successor business, if Stocka is merged or acquired — with this policy continuing to apply.

• All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS).
• Passwords are stored as one-way hashes; sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies.
• Each store's data is kept separate, and role-based permissions control what each team member can see or change.
• Regular backups and restricted, logged access to production systems.

We keep your account and business records for as long as your account is active. If your subscription lapses, your data is kept so you can renew and continue where you left off. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (for example our own billing and tax records), which are kept only for the period the law requires.

Indian tax laws may require you to keep your own invoices and books for several years — please export the reports you need before closing your account.

You can:

• Access and correct your profile and business details at any time from Settings in the app.
• Ask for a copy of your personal data, or export your reports from the web app.
• Withdraw consent or ask us to delete your account and data — see Delete your account.
• Opt out of non-essential emails using the link in those emails.
• Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (below).

We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

The Services are meant for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.

We may update this policy as the Services change. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and tell you by email or in the app if the changes are significant.
